CHARCOAL and TWINE
Flic, Lauren, Ruth and Mish are the creative minds behind the Melbourne based jewellery range Charcoal and Twine. In just a year these girls have gone from strength to strength, selling locally at markets and even shipping overseas all the way to Jordan. We talk to the girls at Charcoal and Twine about their story, their inspirations and their tips on starting a business.
When things just work out well, it’s like a big hug from the sky. Moments like, when something you’ve planned runs smoothly, or when you’ve grabbed three random things from your wardrobe and they magically seem to co-ordinate.
Or how about this one, when you wake up and for once your hair is actually doing what it’s suppose to do.
All these things really just come together to make life easier, more calm, more lovely and really just better. Such was the case of us visiting the famed The Kettle Black cafe. The elements were set and we awaited the outcome.
I’m Vivien, the littlest of the three v’s. A recent graduate out of high school, I am about to endeavour on a new journey. A journey of uni, the real world and being a legal adult. Val was ecstatic when she scooped me up and threw me into Big Picture Stuff. So now due to Val’s enthusiastic nature there is gonna be lots more food post on my behalf.
Hello darling friends!
Happy birthday to you all! Vess and I celebrated our birthday on the weekend and how did we celebrate? By buying ourselves Gorman dresses, wearing our new charcoal and twine necklaces and blowing confetti at each other!
Creative people are curious, flexible, persistent, and independent with a tremendous spirit of adventure and a love of play.
