Here lies another of Vess’ beautiful illustrations. I posted an instragram photo of it, and figured that it would be lovely to share some more pictures with you guys! In terms of my photography, I was inspired by the mermaid flare of the skirt. The dress was designed by someone else (just a disclaimer there, think the last time Vess designed something in terms of fashion, was our high school fashion show!). I’ll try to chase down the name of the designer and the dress for you guys to have a look. The flare of the skirts is so beautiful and, for me, the main focus of the dress design. Reminds me of a freshly opened flower or fields of tulips and roses. Thus, taking those ideas, I tried something a bit different and took pictures of this piece in our garden. Vess’ created beauty among the beauty of creation. I really think that the colours of the garden make a beautiful environment for this painting to shine!
Final shot you can see how I was shooting the piece, towering over my flower bed. Which was really fun, until it started drizzling with rain..
On another note, how amazing has Livia Lai been as a guest blogger of Big Picture Stuff? She has such a wonderful taste in fashion and is such a sweetheart. Seriously every time we shoot together, she is constantly complimenting our photography, while we shower her with compliments concerning her; fashion sense, makeup and simply, darn good looks. It has been such a blessing, to spend time with such an encouraging, humble and fun friend and fellow lover of blogs and beauty. Looking forward to showing you more posts in the coming days.
All the best to our darling friends going through year 12 and uni exams, may you be blessed with wisdom, memory and learning retention!
Vess finishes uni tomorrow! How exciting, a chapter of her life coming to an end, which welcomes a period of new opportunities, exciting adventures and unknown endevours.
What do you guys think would make the perfect Spring day?
Just getttings some ideas for the bright days of Melbourne Spring!
