art, fashion, fashion, photography

It’s been a while since I’ve sat down to write a blog post. And a lot has happened since then.

Coming back to Big Picture Stuff or blogging in general is like coming back to a favourite city or bookshop. Everything seems so familiar, yet there are more doors to be opened and more stories to be uncovered.

Since we haven’t updated for a while, here’s my top things that have happened;

  1. Vess, has since left her job at Smash and is pursuing personal work and #freelancelife.
  2. Vess has become an assistant to the amazing Hong Yi and has travelled to New York and Boston. Where she met Stefan Sagmeister, Jessica Walsh, Timonthy Goodman, Ted Fu and the architect who made the Google headquarters. (Basic summary of her trip more to come!)
  3. I’ve been an account executive at Haystac Content (which was once SPARK, don’t ask, it’s a long story) for four months now and have done some ridiculous things. I’ve made an office for bunnies, made countless cocktails and get to go op-shopping on a regular basis!
  4. We’ve collaborated with some awesome brands like Milk Cow, Ayomo and Dear Gladys Vintage.

Basic summary, but I’ve definitely missed this space.

These pics were taken of the beautiful Shona. A wonderfully talented and beautiful young women Shona’s got the heart of an angel and the most charming personality! I’m sharing these photos, not just because I like them, but because I loved the process of taking them. I wasn’t shooting for instagram or for a brand but for my own exploration. And I was so blessed to shoot someone who trusted me enough to let me create these images.

Let me leave you with this quote (and a quirky photo of me)as we all strive to live a more creative, intentional life.

“Do whatever brings you to life, then. Follow your own fascinations, obsessions, and compulsions. Trust them. Create whatever causes a revolution in your heart.” – Elizabeth Gilbert

Get ready for a few more blog posts ! Next post will be some pics from Redwood forest. 🙂

Stay creative and stay humble.
