Welcome to Chicago Thrift Store. This place exceeded our expectations and tickled our imaginations. It was INSANE. Our friend Ben, who you can see in one of our pics, was taking us around Harajuku and Shibuya that day. He knew about our love for vintage clothes and he thought that we would like this place.
A bit of an understatement.
It was incredible.
Walking down the stairs into the store, you’re welcomed with that familiar smell, a smell that promises vintage treasures. Then you are struck visually by the shear mass of vintage items. Rows and rows of pants, shirts, plaid, denim dresses, floral prints, dresses from the 1950s and shifts from the 1960s, crop tee shirts, denim shorts, this place had it all!
You can see one of the dresses I bought when I wore it to Fushimi Inari Shrine!
We walked out of there with a bag filled with dresses, a pair of overalls, a skirt, and big smile of our faces having seen Japan prove, once again, why it’s such an incredible place.
And thankyou to all our darling friends who have been diligent supporters of bigpicturestuff. Talking to you, and hearing how much you love our blog means so much to us! Special thanks to Tina, Maddy, Jo and Danny who have spoken to us recently about our blog and have given us such amazing encouragement to keep going with our creativity, design and photography. Thanks so much guys!
