I was recently approached by a friend’s friend to take wedding photos for their wedding next year. But as much as my heart yearned to say YES straight away, I had to decline and pass on the opportunity to Vess, cause I will most probably be away next year! (More ab0out that later, once I get confirmation, tehe!)
The request resparked my passion for wedding photography, and I spent a few good hours looking through our wedding and couple photos that we took last year. These photos were taken last year for this gorgeous couple Daniel and Nichola. It was seriously through God’s blessing that we (myself and our best friend and photography buddy, Emerald) was given the amazing opportunity to shoot our first wedding. Seriously such a wonderful experience. Words can not even describe the joy, happiness, sentiment, love and exhuastion that one feels when shooting a wedding. It’s exhilarating and challenging. It tests your photography skills, but more importantly your ability to enage with the emotions of a particular moment and your ability to capture those emotions within a single shot.
Digital photography obviously assists in capturing these moments as it gives you endless chances and opportunities but having too many opportunities can sometimes cause you to lose your focus, on really capturing rare few and special moments of a day.
So even in life, we are faced with many opportunities, so many that some of us have decisions paralysis. We may end up not making any decisions at all! But I guess, some times, we need to strip it back, rest in God, and trust he will provide for us and help us choose the moments or experiences that require our fullest attention.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend dear friends!
