Our resident fashion expert Livia Lai from LisforOlive takes to the streets of VAMFF 2015  for the best street style fashion. We accompany her amazing with pictures (taken by Val) and illustrations (drawn by Vess) of these fashion beauties! Enjoy!

Liv: The jumpsuit has been everywhere the past spring/summer season, and nothing screams playful and chic like a one piece. What we adore about Sarah’s jumpsuit is its combo of a crossover neckline and gorgeous embroidered laced sleeves. Nothing adds a little bit of classy femininity like embroidered lace! Add a Chanel handbag and cut out heeled booties to the mix, and you’ve got lady-like luxe crossed with party girl!

Liv: There is nothing more classic than a strapless midi gown, with scribbled florals to add a bit of character! What I love the most about this dress is its atypical shapelessness – a teeny bit cinched in the waist so as to not lose all sense of femininity, but shapeless enough that the skirt flounces out to the perfect below the knee length. The horizontal strappy heels draw the eye down visually and add an extra boldness to the outfit that you wouldn’t have necessarily expected; a nice little twist to pull the look together!

Liv: All black errrrthang and monochrome is the epitome of all trends, the crème de la crème in street fashion scene at the moment! Loving the way this stunner has effortlessly layered her monochromatic black look with a striated layer dress featuring a turtleneck, pants and leather jacket draped over her shoulders. Not to mention every fashionista’s IT bag, a Potenza Schouler to accessorise with a pair of black pointed toes, that’s monochrome made effortlessly chic for you.

bigpicturestuff-vamff-kiyomi2Liv: An effortless beauty/model and Romance Was Born put together and you get…. Well, a romance was born! Bomber jackets and a simple shift dress in a matching edgy floral is not something that’s easy to pull off, but add some platform boots and mid calf socks and you’ve got the right combo for high-fashion cross almost grunge kinda look. Add this stunner to the look and you’ve sold me, where is my nearest stockist?!

Liv: Val could not – and I mean, COULD NOT – resist the urge to stop the beautiful ladies from Lady Petrova as they walked on by past us in their eye-catching fluorescent, gorgeously feminine pieces! What else screams ethereal and girly when you’ve got Hanako in a high-low tea dress with chartreuse lace overlay and purple Perspex booties, and Lady Petrova herself in a matching vest and skirt of purple florals and peeps of chartreuse. In Val’s words, “Now this is the kind of fashion I want to be shooting!” bigpicturestuff-vamff-vydiaLiv: This girl – can she ever do no wrong?! Absolutely in awe of how Vydia can make a relaxed, casual vibing outfit look a million bucks. Her top from Micky in the Van is gorgeous-to-boot with its sheer amazingness of a larger than life floral design and off the shoulder chic. Some shiny pleather on legs 11 and when you’ve got legs that long, even a pair of black and white oxfords will look as if you’ve got heels on! Finishing it off with a relaxed trench over draped over her shoulders, it’s no wonder Vydia has the following that she has with her style!

Amelia wears the gorgeous print all over in an easy breezy shift dress with a pair of peep-toe mules, where Indianna sports the print on a skater skirt, topped with cold shoulders and cut-out mule booties. Top both beautiful ladies off with a pop of cherry red lips, and you’ve got all eyes on you in these twinning-but-not-so-similar outfits.

A huge thankyou to Livia for her VAMFF coverage and to Vess for her amazing illustrations. We really enjoyed putting together this post for you guys and do let us know if you would like to see more like these in the future. VAMFF was amazing and it was super  fun to witness the scurry of people, the hype in the atmosphere and to have the opportunity to meet some very talented individuals, particularly other Street Style photographers. Really enjoyed making this post, creative collaborations are the best!
